Calgary, AB – The judging of the highly anticipated Canada Beer Cup, Canada’s premier beer competition, will be held at Tool Shed Brewing Co. in Calgary, Alberta, on September 29-October 1, 2025. This event will bring together over thirty top beer judges from around the globe to evaluate a wide variety of Canadian brews, celebrating the rich diversity and innovation of the country’s craft beer scene.
“The Canada Beer Cup is Canada’s only not-for-profit national beer competition, with all proceeds supporting the federal lobbying efforts to grow and support Canada’s craft brewing industry,” says Christine Comeau, Executive Director of the Canadian Craft Brewers Association.
Celebrating Craft Beer Excellence
Entering its fourth year, the Canada Beer Cup has established itself as Canada’s leading and most technical competition, recognizing and honoring excellence in Canadian craft beer. These experts will evaluate a range of beer styles across 50+ categories, providing each entrant with quality feedback. Once scores from all entries are compiled, the competition will recognize the best beers in Canada at an award gala (gala location to be announced). The 2024 best-in-show recipient was Quark, Strangeness and Charm from Pile O’ Bones in Regina, SK. A complete list of past winners can be found here.
